01/13/2022 Let’s Hold Hands And Continue To Put Out The ‘Good’ (Even When It Is Bad)Into The World

Like it or not, social media created this term of “influencer.”

If you go by the Kim K. definition of the word – it’s people who live a lifestyle the average person cannot (or at least represent in photos & videos that that’s the case).

Whether it’s where they go, what they buy, what they wear, who they are hanging out with, what they are being given – an “influencer” flaunts a lifestyle in the hopes of having others follow bc they long to get access to the same.

Do I think there are some “well-meaning influencers” out there who genuinely want to share their life – not for comparison purposes & an “all eyes on me” focus/give me more free & cool stuff, but instead bc it’s fun to be inclusive with others of the fortunate opportunities they’ve gotten – sure I suppose so. Unfortunately…too many of these accounts however – with the hair & makeup & scenes & parties come off as flaunting.

While not everyone can be an “influencer” (nor would want to be), everyone can be an Influential Person.

Doesn’t matter if you have 1 follower or 1 million followers. When you are open & vulnerable & real – you give permission to others to go through the same challenges & struggles you do (& have).

With so many ppl struggling, we need more Influential People out there. We can be the support each other needs by creating a society of openness & sharing.

Social Media gets a bad rap (deservedly so in many/even most cases). But it doesn’t need to be that way. There are more average, every day folks out there who can be positive impacts on each other than there will ever be “influencers.” Let’s hold hands & continue putting the good (even when it’s bad) out into the world.
