#SameHere Gets Selected For “My Cause My Cleats

Too cool not to share the details of what happened yesterday.  Randomly, my phone buzzes with a message that this account on IG has been tagged in a photo. To my surprise, it’s a post from NFL RB, now a member of the Jets, Ty Johnson (played for Maryland for those who are CFB fans).

Without discussion/without prior knowledge, the post informed us that Ty chose our charity’s #SameHere🤙 message, to wear for the NFL’s #MyCauseMyCleats week, coming up this Sunday (tomorrow). The pics of his custom designed cleats are below (tagged his designer in Stories so you can check out his other work).

I reached out to Ty after seeing it, to thank him immensely. It’s awesome we have players like Robin Lehner in the NHL wearing the hashtag on their mask. We have fans buying jerseys with SameHere on the back where you’d usually see the player’s last name. But to have a professional athlete choose, organically, to wear it as a badge at their own choosing, is not just humbling…it shows the power this message can carry on its own, as we as a society choose to connect around the reality that we ALL face challenges in life that impact us: 5 out of 5.

Hopeful this is just another one of many that will continue to champion the message in and out of sports.

Congrats and immense gratitude out to Justin Levine & Jonathan Le who have been integral talents behind the brand designs from the beginning.

Hoping those of you who have been following along supportively, whether publicly or behind the scenes, can feel a part of this. It’s for all of us.
