Why was it important for you specifically to get involved with the Global Mental Health Movement?
The reason it was so important for me to get involved with The Global Mental Health Movement, is because I have personally been affected by depression and anxiety. Every day is different and I’m so thankful for organizations like this one, that bring people together to discuss their stories, coping mechanisms, advice and so much more. Sometimes you just need to be reminded that you’re not alone in this big world.
What do you hope The Movement will accomplish?
I hope that The Movement inspires those to look forward to tomorrow. To take a step back and recognize the good things that each of us have going for ourselves and the ones around us and to try to take life a little slower. I think we all tend to look too far in advance and not pay attention to what or whom might be right in front of us, I know I’m guilty of it. Beautiful things take time and patience, so give yourself some credit for how far you may have already come.
