Hope everyone is enjoying some down time on Labor Day wknd.
Speaking of laborers, one of the nicest women I’ve ever met, Sophie, a farmer from up in Canada, called me a little over a month ago, wanting to find out about our MH programs. Figured it would be like any other type of inquiry call, where a school or office or vets group asks if we could come make a visit.
Turns out Sophie & her town up in Canada have a natural spring that produces the most delicious/crisp spring water. Sophie was calling because – the collective owners of the land have decided that since the land has given so much to them, they want to give back. They are therefore beginning to bottle this gift & sell to markets all over the world – the same way they as farmers sell their crops.
In doing so, Sophie made the incredibly generous gesture of asking us to put our logos – WAALC website & #SameHere Movement stamp (bottom right) on all of their bottles. She had one condition – that we create a colorful “Inspired” logo for their water brand, to communicate inclusivity.
As if that weren’t enough, she/they will be donating profits so that we can run more #SameHere programs on their behalf, with groups around the world, with our Alliance members. Big thank you to our talented friend Jonathan Le – one of the best designers I know, for creating the label.
We’ll let everyone know when these hit stores – but I shared this bc it gives you even more faith in humanity – that people could be this thoughtful & generous, to use something they have, to help others.
More to come on when & where it will hit stores, but incredibly appreciative of this gesture & opportunity.
