Why is it that often when we live through physical traumas (such as car accidents, sports injuries, fights, muggings, burglaries), we are proud to display the visible scars that come as a result of them? We call them handsome, character-building and mysterious. But when we live through emotion traumas, we hide our scars, we are afraid of the reaction of others when we share our stories openly, and we fear judgments or being perceived as weak? Be proud to display ALL of your scars. They make you unique and each has a story attached. Often the strength we have had to show to make it through our emotional traumas is much greater than that which we had to display to make it through our physical traumas. Be proud of both and be ok with sharing both. They both make you more attractive!
