When Your Mom Has Always Been There For You

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.

My relationship with my mom has always been the same: we’re both stubborn, but no matter how much we have had insignificant arguments on various little things, there has not been a moment of my life she hasn’t been there for me.

She doesn’t know a thing about sports, but she was there at every single game of mine growing up, for support. Every time I moved for work, she came to help with the new apartment set-up. When I was so sick for those 2.5 years, she took me to every doctor, often holding my hand, and even when she didn’t agree with me trying various treatments, when push came to shove, she was always in the waiting room making sure someone was there for me when the treatments were over.

I also included a pic of my two amazing grandmas at my college graduation: Bea (no longer with us), and Hannah (who may not be able to get around like she used to, but still can put me in my place with her wit and intelligence). So happy that she’s been able to experience being a great grandmother to my nieces and cousins, and only wish my other grandmother had lived that long to experience the same.

Much love to all the moms for all you do for us. We appreciate you! And to those who are struggling at all today bc of losses or strained relationships, our hearts are with you.
